Our creative client based South of the River close to Victoria Park requires a Senior Accountant to start within the next 3-5 working days for an initial temporary assignment for approximately 2-3 months.
There is a possibility for an extension on this assignment.
Your new role
As the qualified Senior Accountant, you will work closely with the CFO, performing all necessary daily, weekly and monthly accounting activities, plus assist with audit queries.
This detailed position will involve daily invoicing, creditor payments and a fortnightly and monthly payroll process (a relatively small payroll and invoicing process).
Additionally, the position will deal with payroll tax requirements, liaise with the ATO in relation to BAS and organise FBT returns. This position will work closely with the CFO to undertake typical month-end close, reporting and reconciliation tasks.
What you'll need to succeed
- Be available to start this Senior Accountant temporary assignment within the next 3-5 working days.
- Possess a full CA/CPA or equivalent accounting qualification.
- Have strong attention to detail and be able to engage with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Prior experience operating at the Senior Accountant level covering transactional, payroll and month-end and year-end accounting and reporting activities.
- Strong Excel skills plus an ability to pick up systems and processes quickly.
- Fully committed to an initial 2-3 months period of time.
What you'll get in return
- An attractive hourly pay rate between $55ph to $70ph (inclusive of leave loading) + super, dependant on experience.
