THE CHANCE
Reporting to the Financial Controller and the CFO, the Accountant/Senior Accountant will take ownership of the monthly financial operations of 5 versatile subsidiaries in the group. In partnership with their wider team of 8 staff, they will execute processes, key reports and reconciliations.
This is a hands on role and day-to-day, you can expect to complete the below tasks:
- Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure all aspects of accounting are delivered accurately and timely.
- Ensure OIG meets all regulatory obligations and tax compliance.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management reporting package for consolidated entities.
- Preparation of statutory financial statements (include examples)
- Provide assistance with group external reporting
- Provide assistance with budgeting and forecasting
- Assistance with audit process
- Assistance with continuous improvements projects
- Manage stakeholder interactions and expectations
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- At least 5 years of experience in a related role within the financial or professional services industry.
- Completed an undergraduate degree (Commerce, Business or similar) from an accredited university.
- Completing or qualified in CPA or CA highly regarded, but not essential
- Proven previous experience in month end processing.
- Intermediate/Advanced level of Excel proficiency.
- Strong processing skills in accounting software.
- Appropriate knowledge of accounting procedures and policy.
- Sound understanding of accounting standards.

- Strong attention to detail, with a high level of data/numerical accuracy
- Effective organisational and time management skills
- Ability to manage and meet deadlines and prioritise competing tasks for stakeholders
- Collaborative work style and ability to work in a team effectively.
