Senior Financial Accountant

Your new company

A high profile federal government agency with offices in Parramatta require the skills of an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to support the team throughout year end reporting season and a systems transition project for an initial contract period of 6 months.

Your new role

Reporting to the head of Financial Accounting you're key responsibilities will include:

- Preparation of monthly accounts
- Annual financial statements
- Compliance reporting
- Monthly review of complex AP and AR transactions
- General Ledger and Balance Sheet reconciliations
- GST, BAS, FBT and TPAR preparation and lodgments
- Variance Analysis

What you'll need to succeed

- Strong financial accounting qualifications and experience including year end processes essential




- Previous Federal Government experience - in particular annual financial statement preparation
- Ability to manage and analyse financial information from transactional level through to report preparation
- Strong organisational skills and ability to plan for peak reporting periods
- Advanced Excel and Technology One knowledge ideal
