An exciting opportunity for an experienced Tax Accountant to join our client's growing team! You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, providing tax advice and ensuring compliance with relevant tax legislation.

Our client is a leading Taxation firm that provides tailored accounting and tax solutions to individuals and businesses across various industries. Their firm is committed to delivering exceptional services and building long-lasting relationships with our clients. They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Accountant to join our team. As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for providing tax compliance and advisory services to our clients. You will work closely with clients to understand their tax needs and help them navigate complex tax laws and regulations.

Description

- Preparing financial reports, Tax Returns for different entity structures such as Sole traders, Partnerships, Trusts, SMSFs and companies
- Preparing BAS/IAS/FBT/Group Certificates/Subcontractor reports, etc.
- Entering bank statements and year end journal entries into MYOB, HandiSoft, Xero, QuickBooks, etc.




- Creating and returning statements and documents to clients by set deadlines
- Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other regulatory bodies when required
- Preparing business income tax returns and statements for audits
- Assisting in Tax planning
- Identifying areas where clients and businesses can improve and increase profitability
- Possessing strong knowledge of tax law and statutory regulations
- Providing financial and taxation advice on business structures, tax planning, performance, and operations

Profile

- CA or CPA Qualifications highly regarded or working towards completion
- Minimum 4 years of experience in taxation, preferably in public practice firm
- Detailed understanding of taxation laws, accounting standards, regulations and governance requirements
- Self-motivated and willingness to lead the accounting team
- Positive attitude with robust interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and solutions oriented
- High level numerical skills required
