Brisbane Day Surgery was established in 1997 as Queensland Eye Centre, a dedicated ophthalmic day surgery hospital. Since that time, Brisbane Day Surgery has grown, moved location and developed into Australia’s largest day surgery hospital. Brisbane Day Surgery is the hospital of choice for leading professionals in health care.
We are looking for a dedicated, multi skilled Accounts Payable individual to join us on a casual basis.
We are wanting a fast learner with strong attention to detail. Someone who is honest, reliable and has a reputation for demonstrating initiative. You will be great at time management, be flexible and work well in a team.
To be successful in your application for this position, you will have:
- Strong communications skills; written and verbal
- Demonstrated organisational ability to work within deadlines
- Attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to work well in a team and autonomously
- Willing attitude and happy to learn new systems
- Ability to adapt quickly and demonstrate flexibility
Essential criteria
- Previous administration and data entry experience
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills are essential
- Professional outlook towards work
- SAP experience advantageous
- Accounts Payable experience (preferred, not essential)
Principal duties and Responsibilities
- Ensuring timely and accurate entry of approved invoices to correct GL codes
- Allocation & processing of vendor invoices and payments
- Prepare electronic payment report for all vendor payments
- Ensuring accuracy prior to submitting payments for approval
- Employee expense reimbursements
- Reconciling supplier invoices
- Account reconciliations (vendor statement review and investigation of outstanding items)
- Supplier system file maintenance in accordance with company controls
- Review communications received through the generic AP email address and respond/distribute accordingly
- Bank reconciliations
- Ensuring strong process controls are maintained
- Patient refunds
