About the role:
The Victoria Police Crime Command's role is to conduct high level specialist investigations to detect, disrupt and prevent serious and organised crime.
Crime Command is seeking a motivated team member to provide essential administrative support and customer service to internal and external stakeholders, within a energetic and vigorous environment.
As a valued member of our team, you will work within Crime Command Executive Office to provide a variety of administrative duties such as maintaining databases, correspondence, purchasing, information management and reception.

Your duties will include:
- Management and maintenance of manual and computerised systems, records and registers.
- Preparation of a wide range of routine correspondence, financial, personnel, statistical and other various types of transactions with follow-up as required.
- Processing incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Preparation and dissemination of documents and reports for briefings, meetings and governance.
- High level of customer service to internal and external stakeholders via telephone and email enquiries.
- Administering and being accountable for the supply of logistics and equipment, along with the logging of logistics/property and equipment faults, consistent with service delivery priorities.
- Computerised purchasing, ordering and processing of inventory stock, general office stationery and equipment.
- Undertaking courier and other distribution/transportation functions as required.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- An ability to professionally engage with stakeholders to deliver a high level of customer service.
- Experience in administration or reception duties.
- Demonstrated experience in systematic and accurate record management.
- A proven ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
- A strong commitment to meeting workplace objectives.
- A demonstrated ability to manage and prioritise work with minimal supervision.
- A high level of computer proficiency, particularly in relation to word processing, data entry and adapting to customised program packages.
- A proven record of ethical behaviour.
Requirements and relevant information:
- One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
- In accordance with organisational policy, all Victoria Police employees are required to be fully vaccinated (including a booster vaccination) against COVID-19 or hold a valid medical exception. As such your employment with Victoria Police is subject to providing evidence of your vaccination status.
