Federal government organization looking for an Agile Delivery Lead

Hybrid working model | 12 months + possible extensions | $1100 per day circa | Australian Citizen eligible

About your organization

Well established federal government organization that makes administrative decisions under Commonwealth laws of the Australian Government.

About your role

Working in concert with the CIO, Chief Architect, Release Train Engineer and Stream Leads the role will;

- Plan and manage the delivery of approved products using agile techniques and frameworks to ensure delivery of high-quality products and user experience
- Lead as Chief Scrum Master, and, act as scrum master if and when needed in allocated product delivery teams, coaching agile behaviours, productivity and effective delivery
- Develop strategies for the continuous monitoring, evaluation and improvement of all aspects of CMS program delivery including identification and mitigation of risks and issues
- Ensure the delivery of all delivery and governance artefacts to ensure products are delivered and maintained per organisational standards (e.g. Def of Done, Def of Ready, Decision Register)
- Use metrics to assist the CIO/Executive in decision making and planning, such as velocity, lead times, burn up and burn down charts, cycle times, quality reporting (e.g. bugs and defects)





Skills and qualifications will include

- 10 years of Portfolio, Program and Product delivery experience involving large-scale Agile software delivery utilising multiple agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, Design Thinking, Lean and Scaled Agile Framework.
- Experience in guiding and coaching teams in the adoption of an agile mind-set and best practices while maintaining a robust delivery focus and delivering measurable high performance
- Previous experience as a Scrum Master, delivering capability improvements in dynamic and challenging environments, managing impediments and upskilling team’s ability to solve issues
- Experience using relevant technologies in software development including either Azure DevOps (TFS) or Jira/Confluence and using agile performance metrics to drive accountability and continuous improvement,
- Proven experience in change management (both technical and non-technical) and building competencies that grow the capacity to deal with change more effectively.
- Extensive experience in the leadership & management of technical and non-technical staff i.e. Developers, Testers, Analysts, DevOps Engineers etc, and understanding of DevOps processes/methodology.
