Davidson are pleased to be partnering with a leading Victorian organization that operates assets and infrastructure with a state-based footprint. With a key focus on the ever-changing needs of communities that rely on critical transport networks, this role will help ensure a longer-term sustainable future and network.
Leading a small but highly competent team, this critical infrastructure project supports Victoria's Big Build, partnering with the State to deliver significant programs such as the Regional Rail Revival Program, the Level Crossing Removal Program, and other Big Build programs.
The Director Project Development will support the Executive to implement strategic, operational and cultural change, and lead continuous improvement initiatives within a complex and dynamic environment. This role will work as a strategic business partner to the Executive team to ensure that the project is able to achieve its purpose and principal deliverables in accordance with the project plans, helping with the identification of risks and opportunities and supporting the team with appropriate strategies and implementation plans. This individual will be a trusted adviser, anticipating and averting issues, interpreting and implementing the functions vision and support key deliverables. They will assist the Executive Director in providing appropriate communication with key internal and external stakeholders,
drawing upon organisational and political intelligence from previous roles.
To be considered for this role you will ideally have qualifications in Project management or relevant experience in general management. In addition, you will have:
- Substantial rail/infrastructure and executive leadership with expertise.
- An outstanding record of achievement in the development, management or delivery of major construction, rail or infrastructure projects characterised by competing priorities and public scrutiny.
- Expert knowledge of and experience in complex projects, including demonstrated commercial acumen and appropriate qualifications.
- Proven technical, financial, commercial, risk and contract management expertise.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, communication, consultation and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate issues and provide effective solutions at senior levels within the public and private sectors.
- Minimum 10+ years in senior leadership roles and project management or rail environment
