Educator – Mater Private Hospital Townsville
Mater Private Hospital Townsville has an exciting opportunity for an Educator to join our Townsville Education Team. This is a permanent part time position that will join our Industry leading Registered training organisation.
Mater is Queensland’s largest and most innovative not-for-profit healthcare service, providing care for almost 700,000 patients a year across a network of 11 hospitals. About the role:
The purpose of this role is to deliver and assess education and training within the Registration Training Organisation. You are responsible for student management and accountable for ensuring excellence in educational outcomes for students and employers within the organisation, aligned to our mission and values.
Within this role your principal accountabilities include:
- Prepare and deliver training according to program requirements including workplace, online or classroom, and/or a combination of each when they are scheduled.
- Provide adaptable training and assessment strategies suited to the needs of individual students.
- Evaluate and monitor student progress throughout the course, providing appropriate support.
- Manage assessment of student competence throughout the course, providing sufficient constructive feedback to promote positive outcomes.
- Manage students administratively according to Mater Education’s procedures within the student management system (SMS) and learning management system (LMS).
- Attend and contribute to team meetings, open days, expos and information sessions as required.
- Actively participate in validation of assessments through the moderation process.
About you
To be considered for this role you will have demonstrated success in a similar role within a large and complex organisation, coupled with the following qualifications:
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE)
- Tertiary qualification as a registered Nurse
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse without restrictions
