The CFO team is responsible for the integrity of the financial information of the business and the custodian of shareholder value. This includes accounting, all facets of financial reporting, Non-life and Life actuarial reporting, expense management and processing, capital management, investment accounting and tax accounting.

Reporting to the Manager Financial Reporting this opportunity manages the external regulatory and internal reporting requirements, and accounting operational responsibilities of Munich Reinsurance Company Australia and Recent Zealand.

Your Role

- General Ledger: Take ownership of the General ledger, including ensuring appropriate controls are in place
- Internal financial and management reporting: Accurate reporting to internal stakeholders, both locally and at head office
- External financial reporting: Responsible for ensuring all APRA, ASIC, ABS and RBNZ reporting obligations are met




- Legal and risk compliance: Ensure activities comply with legal and ethical standards, and that appropriate risk management procedures are maintained

Your Profile

- CPA or CA qualified
- 4+ years’ work experience in the insurance/ reinsurance industry
- Financial accounting and ledger entry experience
- Prepared audit files, Financial Statements and liaised with external auditors
- Knowledge of Australian (AIFRS) & International (IFRS) Financial Reporting Standards and APRA prudential standards and guidance
- Strong skills in MS excel (can perform complex functions)
