About the Role
We are looking for an experienced General Manager to be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and administration of a Central Coast not-for-profit business. Reporting to the board of directors, you will work closely with the board to contribute to the creation and implementation of strategic plans, manage budgets, and oversee the operations, ensuring it achieves its mission and goals. The main responsibilities of this role include:

- Communicate and implement the organisations vision
- Implement strategic plans in line with business objectives
- Provide leadership to the executive management team, ensuring alignment and adherence to the strategic direction of the organisation
- Drive organisational culture across a substantial and diverse workforce, with a focus on customer service and continuous improvement, fostering a positive work environment
- Stay abreast of internal and external competitive landscape, changes in client base and markets, and new industry developments to identify opportunities for growth
- Address and remedy any issues that arise in operations or business functions
- Adopt a continuous improvement approach, identifying and encouraging innovation and process improvements within the organisation
- Identify and mitigate potential risks to the organisation, including financial, operational, reputational
- Represent the organisation, contributing to positive and proactive relationships with the community,



industry stakeholders and cross-jurisdictional networks
- Manage set budgets and monitor expenses to maintain the financial health of the organisation

About You
As an experienced General Manager, with strong commercial acumen, you will be experienced in implementing strategic plans in line with business objectives. Demonstrating strong leadership skills, you will drive the business striving for operational excellence in achieving return on investment on their programs and services. You will also have:

- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills including being able to motivate others and foster a collaborative team environment
- Proven leadership experience in a not-for-profit or transport related organisation
- Experience in identifying and implementing business improvement strategies
- Excellent at building and managing strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in managing budgets and analysing operational expenses and identifying cost saving initiatives
