As the IT Operations Manager you will be responsible for the analysis, management and delivery of AEMC technical systems, working collaboratively with internal clients and external service providers to understand needs, scope requirements, interpret solutions, and ensure smooth implementation and transition. This role is also responsible for ensuring technical systems suit required business needs by managing process and training for internal clients across the suite of systems and applications.
You will work as part of a small, interrelated team to provide the end to end delivery of IT solutions, as well as working across the organisation to deliver efficiencies.
Importantly the Operations manager will oversee security monitoring, and drive pro-active vulnerability Management on the IT Systems in collaboration with external IT suppliers.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Knowledge of systems and infrastructure – specifically Microsoft Azure
- Security monitoring experience and meeting framework and standards experience
- Stakeholder engagement skills,
with confidence and capability to lead discussions with internal/external stakeholders to translate user needs into technical solutions and communicate implications of change
- Proven communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to impart technical knowledge to non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated experience within an IT Management role, or an Operations Management role with a strong education in IT
- Knowledge of and be adept at the installation of systems and able to analyse configuration
- Strong understanding of networks, their operation, security, and cloud-based computing
- Demonstrated understanding and proficiency in operating Microsoft Office 365 application suite publishing software, records management systems, client relationship management systems and content management systems
- A thorough understanding of the threat and attack landscape, attack vectors, vulnerabilities, and how they are leveraged by malicious actors
- Relevant tertiary and/or industry qualifications
- Strong project management skills with understanding of project management methodologies
- Proven problem solving capability
