Anglo American Steelmaking Coal
Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in Steelmaking Coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in Northwest Queensland and Western Australia.

Job Description

Due to this strong forecasted growth, we are seeking a large number of Longwall Operators to advance our Grosvenor Mine operations.

Reporting to the Longwall Coordinator, you will undertake mining activities in-line with the shift plan which maximises secure & efficient practices, and consistently demonstrate positive behaviours as per the Anglo American Guiding Values: Safety, Collaboration, Integrity, Accountability, Care & Respect, & Innovation.

Qualifications

- 2 years Longwall experience
- Tickets/Competencies for longwall face equipment operations
- Tickets/Competencies to operate LHD 15 tonne or less
- Tickets/Competencies to operate longwall ancillary equipment
- A strong commitment to safety that exceeds industry standards
