It comprises: 14 state-of-the-art operating theatres including a hybrid theatre; 2 Cardiac Catheter Labs; 4 Procedure Rooms; 41 bed Recovery Unit; and state of the art Sterilizing Services Department.What you'll be doingWe are currently seeking a suitably qualified,
experienced and highly skilled Registered Nurse to undertake the role of Clinical Nurse Educator - Anaesthetics to support our high level commitment to education and training.
The position of Clinical Nurse Educator will work closely with the Interventional Suite and the Education Services Department at NBH.
You will be a member of a cohort of Educators within the Interventional Suite and become a member of the overall Education Services Department at NBH.
You will also:Orientate, induct and brief new staff/Graduates/students to the facility and their roles and responsibilities during the clinical placementEnsure the safety of patients/consumers and staff through the maintenance of safe practiceAssist Graduates and staff to apply problem solving and reflective skills in their clinical practiceIdentify the learning needs of the staff within the specialtyDemonstrate clinical expertise and professional role modellingPromoting a high standard of evidence based nursing care to all patients, through dissemination of current best practice knowledgeSupervising staff compliance to annual mandatory training and completion of eLearning componentsProvide written reports for Graduate NursesConduct Continuing Professional Development sessionsLiaise with the Education Services DepartmentPeople of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:Holds AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse AND holds relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer.Demonstrated effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Demonstrated computer literacy.The teamenrichinghealthin millions of ways every day.
