Our equipment is manufactured locally and supplied to farmers and agricultural businesses across Australia.As our production requirements continue to grow, we are seeking a mechanically minded Technical Assembly Worker to join our production team,About the PositionThis is a hands-on assembly role suited to someone with practical mechanical ability and basic experience working with hydraulic systems.You will be responsible for assembling Grainline machinery and components to specification, including the installation and connection of hydraulic and mechanical systems.We are looking for someone who can work confidently from job cards and instructions, understands the importance of correct assembly and takes ownership of the quality of their work.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble agricultural machinery and components according to job cards, drawings and work instructionsInstall and connect basic hydraulic components, hoses and fittingsComplete mechanical assembly of drive systems, bearings, shafts and associated componentsIdentify assembly, fitment or component issues and raise them with the appropriate supervisorEnsure completed work meets Grainline's quality standardsUse hand tools,
power tools and workshop equipment safely and effectivelyMaintain an organised and safe work areaWork with the wider production team to achieve scheduled production requirementsWhat You'll BringEssentialBasic practical experience with hydraulic systems, hoses, fittings or hydraulic componentsMechanical aptitude and confidence working with tools and machineryPrevious experience in assembly, mechanical fitting, manufacturing, agricultural machinery or a similar hands-on environmentAbility to follow job cards, work instructions and assembly procedures accuratelyStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityGood communication and teamwork skillsAbility to identify problems and seek clarification rather than simply continuing with incorrect assemblyDesiredExperience assembling agricultural, industrial or heavy equipmentExperience with mechanical drive systems, bearings, shafts and gearboxesBasic electrical or wiring experienceAbility to read basic engineering drawingsForklift licenceWhy Join Grainline?
