We are seeking a Finance Officer - Accounts Payable to join Sunkids Childrens Centres on a casual basis.
This role is based in Eight Mile Plains, QLD ****.
As a Finance Officer specialising in Accounts Payable, you will play a crucial role in managing our financial obligations and ensuring accurate processing of invoices and payments.
This position is essential to maintaining the integrity of our financial operations and supporting the smooth running of our childcare centres across our organisation.Key responsibilitiesProcessing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring all documentation is complete and authorised before paymentManaging accounts payable transactions, including invoice entry, verification and reconciliationPreparing payment runs and ensuring timely settlement of supplier invoices in accordance with agreed termsMaintaining detailed accounts payable records and documentation for audit and compliance purposesReconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies or queries with vendorsSupporting month-end and year-end closing processesLiaising with internal departments to obtain necessary approvals and supporting documentationAssisting with general accounting duties as required to support the wider finance functionWhat we're looking forProven experience working in an Accounts Payable function or similar accounts administration roleProficiency with accounting software and financial systemsStrong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record keepingSolid understanding of accounts payable best practices, invoice processing and supplier managementExcellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasksProfessional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external suppliersA reliable and flexible approach, given the casual nature of this positionQualification in accounting, bookkeeping or finance (such as Certificate III or higher in Accounting or Business is preferred)What we offerSunkids Childrens Centres is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive workplace.
