The ward specialises in General Medicine.As a Clinical Educator, your focus will be learners at all levels in Ward 6.1, with some shared site-educational responsibilities: working closely with other CNEs from specialties within Practice Capability at the Box Hill site.You will take a pivotal role in upskilling the workforce to deliver best practice nursing care.
You will support pre-registration and post-graduate students, graduates, novice and established nurses, with work including but not limited to; liaising with the Student Programs team to facilitate placement rostering and reporting, supporting learner development and wellbeing, working with the Transition to Practice team to support and guide graduates,



and collaborating closely with the Nurse Manager to understand and meet the learning needs of the clinical team.About youTo be successful in this role you will possess:Clinical experience in medical nursingClinical experience with education programs including experience in clinical practice supervision of learners (students, graduates)Demonstrated leadership with the ability to inspire, influence and motivate staff and to contribute to and foster a positive learning cultureDemonstrated organisational and planning skills with robust attention to detailAdvanced interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication, leadership and conflict management, in order to facilitate effective team functioningProficient with Microsoft Office 365 softwareLeadership / participation in education and researchCertificate IV in Training and AssessmentExperience in interprofessional education, including the development and delivery of presentations to diverse audiencesHealthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice).
Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year.
