Mental Health Support Worker - CPS OatlandsLocation: Oatlands & Western Sydney RegionPermanent Part-Time position; 3 days per week, Monday – Friday | 8am – 4pmProgram: Commonwealth Psychosocial Support Program (CPS)SCHADS Level 3 PPT 4; $***** per hour + Salary Packaging up to $18,500 paMake a Real Difference in Mental Health RecoveryJoin Uniting's Commonwealth Psychosocial Support (CPS) Program and help people living with severe mental health challenges to achieve their recovery goals and feel more connected to their community.This is a community-based role, where you'll work alongside consumers to provide practical, recovery-focused support that helps them navigate everyday challenges, strengthen their independence and build the skills and confidence they need to thrive.You'll be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, working alongside Mental Health Support Worker, Occupational Therapist and Senior Mental Health Support Worker.About the ProgramThe Commonwealth Psychosocial Support Program (CPS) supports individuals experiencing severe mental health challenges to access short-term, recovery-focused care that enhances wellbeing and daily functioning.Our specialist team works collaboratively with consumers to develop tailored support plans and deliver meaningful interventions through individual and group-based support.About you in the roleYou are compassionate, resilient and passionate about supporting people on their recovery journey.
You enjoy meaningful community work and thrive in a cooperative team environment.Deliver recovery-focused outreach support within the communityAssist consumers with navigating supports including NDIS, Centrelink and housing servicesSupport individuals to build independence, resilience and daily living skillsDevelop and review individual support plans in partnership with consumers,



carers and cliniciansPromote improved physical and mental wellbeing through capacity-building activitiesMaintain accurate documentation and manage community-based outreach effectivelyWork within a supportive multidisciplinary team with mentoring from a Senior Mental Health Support WorkerCertificate IV in Mental Health or Community Services (minimum)Current unrestricted driver's licence and access to own vehicleUnderstanding of or willingness to learn recovery-oriented practiceStrong communication and relationship-building skillsAbility to identify and respond appropriately to risksComfortable balancing outreach work with administrative responsibilitiesDemonstrated ability to support consumers with individual care planningWhat we offer:Salary Packaging – increase your take-home pay4 Me Days – extra paid leave each year (pro rata) to rest, recharge, and focus on what matters most4 CPD Days per calendar year (Pro-rata for part-time employees)U Rewards – exclusive discounts from leading retailersOngoing training – cultural awareness, clinical skills, and moreCareer development – Supportive Environment.
