About Us

Karlka Nyiyaparli Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (KNAC) is the registered native title body corporate for the Nyiyaparli People, the Traditional Owners of approximately 36,684 square kilometres of land and waters in the East Pilbara region. The Nyiyaparli Living Language Project (NLLP) aims to preserve and revitalise the Nyiyaparli language, promoting cultural heritage and providing resources to support language learning within the community.

Location

This role is based at KNAC’s South Hedland office.

Position

In this role you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the NLLP team and assists the Corporate Services team with administration and front office duties. This role is split evenly between the Corporate & Community team and NLLP duties, including communications, events, financial and documentation tasks, and support for various project activities.

Your key responsibilities in this role include:

NLLP Support

- Manage all administrative correspondence, maintain contact lists.
- Coordinate logistics for meetings, workshops, and community events.
- Organise and manage workshops, community engagement events, and logistics.
- Process financial transactions, support budget monitoring, and maintain records.
- Provide technical support and liaise with community members and stakeholders.

General Admin Support

- Assist with general office inquiries and document-related tasks.
- Help organise transport and appointments for members.
- Support communication and referrals to appropriate services.
- Cover reception and other administrative duties as needed.
- Ensure compliance with WH&S; policies and conduct safety checks.

Qualifications & Experience

To succeed in this role,



you will need:

- Significant experience in administrative roles.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive problem solver with a high level of initiative.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Current Class C Drivers License.

Desirable qualifications and experience:

- Experience working in Indigenous community organisations or projects.
- Certificate III or IV in Business Administration.

- $80,000 base salary plus superannuation; and
