Occupational Therapist - Casual

We are seeking a Casual Occupational Therapist to join our friendly allied health team at Healthscope's Hunter Valley Private Hospital as well as offering a unique opportunity to enjoy the benefit of adaptable working across our other site at Newcastle Private Hospital.

Hunter Valley Private Hospital is located on the fringe of Newcastle and is close to the Pacific Motorway, vineyards and university. We are an independent 83 bed facility with a 5 theatre Operating Suite providing medical (geriatric and palliation), rehabilitation and surgical services. We are committed to providing a workplace culture that respects, supports and rewards staff members. Hunter Valley Private Hospital is accredited by the ACHS and has a dedicated focus on providing quality healthcare to our patients.

The Role

In this role you will be joining our inpatient rehabilitation team, providing delivery of rehabilitation programs for our patients. Our allied health team is known for its commitment to excellence in clinical practice.



You will be well supported in a team that provides evidence-based rehabilitation for a range of caseloads including neurological and orthopaedic inpatient and day only rehabilitation patients.

You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have a strong commitment to quality service provision. This role may suit candidates looking for flexibility to balance work and family commitments.

Essential Criteria

- Current OT registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- Current driver's license and good driving record

Desirable Criteria

- Hospital rehabilitation experience in a multi-disciplinary team
- FIM trained
- Cognitive Assessment experience
- Home modification and equipment prescription experience
