Please note: Due to Machinery of Government changes under Section 30 of the Public Administration Act (PPA), effective 1 January 2023, your employment will be with the Department of Transport and Planning. Corporate Services, including payroll, will be provided by Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action while a process for the formal transfer of staff in impacted areas is implemented.

The Planner works collaboratively across the Planning Systems Reform Branch to assist with the Planning portfolio's statutory responsibilities, to drive the Government's significant planning and building policies, strategies, systems and reforms. The role is part of a broader team that delivers key policy commitments and provides quality planning services to local government, other agencies, and the Department.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

- A relevant tertiary qualification in Planning, Science or related discipline.
- An understanding of government policies and programs with an emphasis on the natural and built environment.

This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2023. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria.
