Your recent company
An international mining house that is at the forefront of the extraction of coal is seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer to drive the delivery of infrastructure projects for one their leading coal operations in the Bowen basin.

Your new role

- Managing the project management lifecycle, including well written, well structured, documentation
- The management and coordination of a wide range of capital projects ranging from 0.1-10M AU, including but not limited to:

I. Drainage, large and small scale culverts, culvert bridges and water conveying structures
II. Roads and intersection both on and off lease
III. Dams, construction of new sediment dams as well as defect remediation on existing tailings dams
IV. Environmental
V. Buildings and associated infrastructure
VI. Procurement of mine critical infrastructure and assets
VII. Assisting Project Managers on larger projects

- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Engage with project stakeholders to ensure alignment to business objectives
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions, to support project schedule and budget
- Ensure ownership of projects, including stakeholder engagement,



monthly KPI's and various internal reporting
- Actively participate in Field Leadership programs

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position you will have:

- Experience working on similar projects either working for a consultant or a contractor
- A Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering
- A high commitment to safety, quality, attention to detail and procedures
- Ability to influence, engage with & communicate effectively across multiple levels, business units, functional areas and external stakeholders
- Ability to problem solve effectively, work under pressure, and think strategically. For example, supporting various stakeholders with competing priorities, managing those relationships, expectations, and formulate appropriate action plans
- Demonstrate effective writing skills in email, documentation, and presentation development, taking into consideration the target audience
- Demonstrate effective skills in Microsoft Suite, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook

What you'll get in return
The successful applicant will be required to either travel from Brisbane to Moranbah via a client FIFO arrangement or DIDO if living locally. Flexible arrangements may be available for the right candidate
