About your opportunity
Fixed term temporary full time for up to 12 months.
Deliver independent high level specialised Psychology services and leadership within the Townsville Hospital and as a member of a multidisciplinary team to stakeholders/customers of Queensland Health.
To manage a highly complex and varied caseload across multiple psychology sub-specialities where principles procedures techniques and methods require constant adaptation and modification to suit the acute setting, and the multidisciplinary workplace of a multispecialty hospital.
Generous remuneration package value up to $12,912 p.m. comprising:
- Salary range of $4988.60 to $5205.30 p.f. (HP5)
- Annual leave with 17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements
- It is a mandatory requirement to be and to remain vaccinated against COVID-19.
- Proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.
- Applicants must possess a four-year degree in Psychology (Honours, Graduate Diploma) from an accredited tertiary institution. Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia is required.
- Current enrolment in, or completion of an accredited masters or doctoral qualification in Clinical psychology or Health Psychology, would be highly regarded.
- Eligibility to obtain 4 + 2 Primary Supervisor and Higher Degree Supervisor status with the Psychology Board of Australia would be highly regarded.
- This position requires the incumbent to operate a class “C” motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this type of vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided before commencement of duty.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
