Join our multi-disciplinary team at the university Medical and Counselling Centre where we offer medical, psychiatric, and nursing services to students at the University, supported by a professional administrative team. Supervision with the psychiatrist and peer supervision is also provided.
The client cohort is complex and diverse, and this opportunity will appeal to a skilled practitioner with sound clinical skills, cognitive agility, excellent record keeping and high professional standards.
Reporting to a Senior Psychologist within the Medical and Counselling Service, this role will provide professional and responsive psychological services, assessments,
interventions and evaluation.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Current registration with AHPRA.
- A minimum of 4 years practice post full AHPRA registration
- Demonstrated experience working across a range of mental-health issues including Anxiety, Depression, Addictions, PTSD, Complex Trauma and Personality Disorder.
- Demonstrated experience in working with young people with a diverse range of needs
- Demonstrated experience delivering evidence-based interventions. i.e CBT ACT DBT, Schema, EMDR
- Ability to work independently and be a collaborative member of a multi- disciplinary team.
- Excellent rapport building and communication skills.
- Sound computer literacy.
- A strong work ethic is essential
- Post Graduate qualifications in Psychology
