About the role:
RPDAS Operations are looking for a motivated and efficient senior administration assistant to work in their Tasking and Coordination Office. We are seeking an individual with the ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment. The suitable applicant needs to be highly organised and motivated, display workplace resilience and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
RPDAS Operations are responsible for the deployment of alcohol and drug buses around the state. The Tasking and Coordination Office supports this through site allocation, bus and member rostering, accommodation bookings, intelligence collection, and various other tasks.
You will be the RPDAS Operations point of contact for New Police Constables (NPCs) and the holder of the NPC Portfolio. You are required to be able to use your organisational skills to manage your office space and your time٫ as you will collaborate with stakeholders and colleagues in a fast-paced environment.

Your duties will include:
- NPC Portfolio
- Rostering NPCs and managing roster requests.
- Processing and actioning of NPC roster request email account content.
- Management of joining instructions and exit survey distribution.
- Forward planning and management of NPC capacity.
- Administration
- Support management across a broad range of clerical and administrative duties.
- Good practical experience and proficiency with MS Office.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work autonomously at times.
- The ability to interpret and apply legislation, policy and procedures.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
- Rostering experience (preferred but not essential).
- High level, confident, verbal, and written communication skills.
- The ability to prioritise a busy workload with competing deadlines.
- A high level of commitment to the role.
- Demonstrated administrative experience.
- A proven history of producing high quality work.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Requirements and relevant information:
- One (1) x full-time, fixed term position unitl 30 June 2023 available.
- This position is located at Dawson Street Police Complex: 20 Dawson St, Brunswick, VIC, 3056.
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
- The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
- In accordance with organisational policy, all Victoria Police employees are required to be fully vaccinated (including a booster vaccination) against COVID-19 or hold a valid medical exception. As such your employment with Victoria Police is subject to providing evidence of your vaccination status.
