About the role:

As the successful applicant, you will provide executive support to the Intelligence Innovation and Risk Division (IIRD) in the areas of secretarial support, schedule/diary management and administrative support. Your additional responsibilities will be to manage databases and provide advice across the organisation on Victoria Police Manual policies that are managed by Professional Standards Command.

Your duties will include:

- Perform the role of secretariat for a range of executive committees, this involves efficient and effective minute taking, meeting set up, co-ordination and document management.
- Provide high level executive support including evaluating and determining priorities for incoming correspondence/files and drafting appropriate reports, briefings, and responses for and on behalf of Executive Management.
- Support Divisional Units to achieve their objectives by applying professional expertise, as needed.
- Initiate process enhancements, plan and manage own work program to achieve timelines, and standards which will support the divisions corporate services.
- Perform computer based activities as required, including word processing, typing and data entry.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

- Secretariat experience.




- Skilled in all Microsoft Office software, including well-developed keyboard skills, particularly in relation to word processing and data entry.
- The ability to maintain systematic and accurate records in a confidential environment.
- The ability to work in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills that enable you to maintain good internal relationships.
- The capacity to prioritise work and operate with minimal supervision.
- Experience in policy development or project management would be highly regarded.

Requirements and relevant information:

- One (1) x full time, ongoing position available.
- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
- The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
- In accordance with the Acting Chief Health Officer's Direction – COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination (Workers) Directions, you are required to be fully vaccinated (this includes a booster vaccination) and your employment with Victoria Police is subject to proof of vaccination.
