Your New Role

As a SharePoint Administrator you will actively engage, collaborate, and communicate with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure SharePoint is successfully used to deliver information. They provide specialist knowledge to deliver innovative solutions that meet organisational strategic objectives and digital information needs. As a SharePoint Administrator you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the intranet and use both individual technical expertise and vendor management skills to ensure the intranet operates as a key business platform

What you'll need to succeed

- Proven hands-on experience administering Microsoft SharePoint Online environments, indexing and search services, troubleshooting issues, documenting new solutions, and using migration and governance tools. Knowledge of records and information management concepts such as managing metadata, content types and templates will be an advantage.
- Experience developing and maintaining Power Automate workflows and integrations with Microsoft 365 components such as Microsoft Forms and PowerApps. Microsoft certifications in Power Platform, and those incorporating SharePoint components will be highly regarded.




- Demonstrated understanding and application of Software Development Life Cycle methods and expertise with complex technical activities and technical creativity. Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as SPFx and React is highly desirable.
- Ability to apply project management and business analysis methodologies and working with governance frameworks in modern IT and/or project environments.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to communicate across a broad technical and non-technical audience with an emphasis on stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence others to adopt new technology to drive business improvements.
- Proven ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team and autonomously to meet tight and demanding deadlines.

What you need to know

- Develop and maintain the SharePoint Online platform including user access, permissions and security and implementing platform governance.
- Engage, encourage and support staff and departments to take advantage of SharePoint technology as a tool to enhance digital communication and information management.
- Work closely with and provide support to the Records Management team as they roll out records management across the organisation
- Engage and manage vendors providing SharePoint support services and projects within agreed Service Level Agreements.




- Provide technical guidance and knowledge related to developing and supporting an enterprise
- SharePoint environment (including understanding relationship with Active Directory, and Microsoft 365).
- Support the installation, configuration, security, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of all application software related to SharePoint, such as third-party governance and records management tools.
- Participate in the planning and execution of tasks related to existing and new SharePoint based initiatives.
- Develop, configure and maintain Power Automate workflows, Microsoft Forms, document libraries and lists, enterprise metadata and other SharePoint integrations such as PowerApps.
- Perform system administrative activities such as site creation, life cycle management, data import and migration, user training, backup, restore and issue resolution.
- Facilitate engagement and collaboration in accordance with approved communication strategies and governance frameworks
