About You
- At least 3 years of experience in Linux engineering and administration
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, virtualization, and cloud computing
- Administration experience with RHEL / CentOS, Nagios, Tower, GITLAB, Tomcat, Postgres MYSQL and MariaDB
- Administration experiences with VMWare
- Working knowledge of iptables and SELINUX
- Demonstrated skills in Automation/Scripting technologies (Ansible, Puppet or Chef)
- Ability to quickly comprehend system architecture
- Demonstrated capability to work proactively, meet deadlines and manage priorities.
- Excellent communication skills
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain Linux-based systems and infrastructure
- Manage and maintain software and security updates, patches, and upgrades.
- Develop bash-based scripts and tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency
- Troubleshooting anything from basic to in-depth technical issues ranging from basic networking issues, 3rd party software to in house developed custom applications.
- Creating and updating documentation for team processes and supported products.
- Analyse and understand logged incidents with robust technical awareness.
- Provide effective, efficient, and professional solutions to all customers queries or concerns.
- Contributing to improving the team through collaboration and innovation.
- Provide support and deployment functions outside of normal working hours when required.
