We are seeking a skilled and experienced Systems Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, taking accountability for their work and building trust with colleagues.

The Systems Administrator will be responsible for overseeing and supporting upgrade projects, and the ongoing management of all systems, including system updates, patching, maintenance, and monitoring to ensure high availability and reliability.

The Systems Administrator will work closely with other IT team members to ensure seamless integration of systems and applications, collaborating on projects to ensure successful completion and troubleshooting and resolving system issues and errors.

As a leader in the IT team, the Systems Administrator will take accountability for their work and build trust with colleagues throughout the process of owning initiatives from design to handover to the business. Microsoft certifications focused on Microsoft365 & Azure is highly desirable, experience with integration between platforms, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, as well as a solid understanding of cloud computing principles and best practices, will be important for success in this role

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, design, and implement system modifications across the business
- Configure and maintain systems, applications, and infrastructure




- Provide ongoing support for business-wide initiatives
- Monitor and maintain system performance, security, and availability
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and errors
- Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure seamless integration of systems and applications

- Keep up-to-date with new technology and industry trends

Requirements :

- Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments, including integrating on-premises systems with cloud services
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of PowerShell and other scripting languages for automating routine tasks and processes

Experience

- 3+ years of experience in a Systems Administrator role
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Server technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory & Group Policy
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure products, such as Azure AD, Intune, Teams, SharePoint, and Exchange Online

Qualifications

- Solid understanding of cloud computing principles and best practices
- Current Microsoft certifications in Azure or Microsoft365 is highly desirable
- Knowledge of PowerShell and other scripting languages for automating routine tasks and processes

Platform Awareness

Any experience within the below third-party platforms is highly desirable





Experience with Evolvium Midpoint or similar Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions

- Evolvium Midpoint is an open-source IAM solution that provides a comprehensive set of features for managing user identities and access rights across an organization's systems and applications. It allows for centralized management of user accounts, roles, and permissions, as well as authentication and authorization services. Experience with Evolvium Midpoint or similar IAM solutions would be desirable for a Systems Administrator role in order to effectively manage user identities and access rights within the organization.

Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure and services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

- As more organizations move their systems and applications to the cloud, familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure and services such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud would be beneficial for a Systems Administrator role. This includes experience with cloud-based servers, storage, networking, and security services.

Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) and scripting languages (PowerShell, Terraform)

- Infrastructure as code (IaC) is the process of managing and provisioning computer data centers through machine-readable definition files, rather than manual configuration. Knowledge of IaC and tools such as Terraform can help Systems Administrators automate routine tasks and processes, saving time and improving efficiency. Additionally, proficiency in PowerShell scripting can also be beneficial for a Systems Administrator role, particularly in organizations with a large number of systems and applications to manage.
