Glenrowan Farms WA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Broadacre Crop Farm worker to join our team in York WA 6302. This is a full-time role that will play a critical role in the day-to-day operations of our large-scale farming business.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting with the planting, maintenance, and harvesting of broadacre crops including wheat, barley, export hay and canola
- Operating and maintaining a range of farm machinery such as tractors, harvesters, and sprayers
- Monitoring crop health
- Assisting with the maintenance and repair of farm infrastructure and equipment
- Adhering to all health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Providing training and mentorship to junior farm workers
- Recording relevant farm data for compliance and performance analysis into farm management software
- Participate in planning meetings
What we're looking for
- Significant experience (5+ years) working in a broadacre crop farming setting
- Proficient in the operation and maintenance of a wide range of farm machinery and equipment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address a variety of farm-related challenges
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the wider farm team
- A passion for sustainable farming practices and a commitment to environmental stewardship
- A solid knowledge of Topcon and John Deere GPS systems
- Experience with Claas and Fendt machinery
- Possess an attention to detail and pride in their work
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in agriculture or a related field would be highly regarded
