The Role

In this role, you will manage a team and lead high-profile projects across Sydney from concept to completion.



You will apply and develop your technical skills to creatively tackle complex engineering problems and delivering high-quality and detailed designs.

You will represent the company on these projects, managing and developing valuable relationships with your team and your project partners, including architects, consultants, project managers and builders.

The Qualifications Required

- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Postgraduate qualifications an advantage
- Membership with Engineers Australia as CPEng and NER is an advantage

The Skills & Experience Required

Minimum 8 years of engineering design experience within an engineering consultancy.

Comprehensive Understanding Of

- Civil / stormwater design principles and their application
- Australian Codes and Standards and their practical application
- The latest industry practices, proprietary products, materials and construction techniques
- Project management principles and application in day-to-day tasks and project delivery

Leadership

- Lead and manage a team of engineers and draftspersons
- Support and foster an engaging and rewarding workplace
- Manage projects (including resource, financial and risk aspects),



ensuring the delivery of high-quality results from proposals through to project completion documentation
- Find opportunities for repeat and new business in line with the company's business goals

Technical skills

- Civil design works for urban development, including building projects, subdivisions, roads, pavements and public domain areas
- Hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, water quality modelling, design of minor and major drainage systems, design of OSD systems and WSUD strategy development
- Civil 3D or 12D software and other relevant software, including DRAINS, XP-RAFTS, MUSIC, HEC-RAS, Swept Path Analysis (e.g. AutoTURN), CIRCLY, AutoCAD and Revit
