The Role

We are currently looking for experienced Civil Construction Supervisors to join our construction team in the Central Queensland area. This role would be a project based role working on site with our project management team.

This is a site based role, with accommodation and meals provided in a camp arrangement, and DIDO-FIFO requirements, working on a 2-1 roster.

Reporting to the Project Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our civil construction teams, whilst ensuring construction time frames are meet and in a safe manner.

As part of the pre-employment process, you will need to

- complete & pass a Section 4 Coal Board Medical
- complete & pass drug & alcohol tests
- have or be willing to complete Glencore Generic Induction
- have or be willing to complete Standard 11 training
- have or be willing to complete S123 / G189 training

Primary Responsibilities & Duties:

Duties including but not limited to:

- Supervise and manage the installation, maintenance, and inspection of civil construction works.
- Ensure all work complies with project specifications, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
- Review contract and specification to develop methodology and staffing requirements to meet or exceed contracted requirements.
- Ensure equipment and materials are delivered at specified times to conform to work schedule and contract requirements.
- Liaise with and direct personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures,



interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases to prevent delays.
- Liaise with engineering personnel and inspectors and suppliers of equipment and materials to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods.
- Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to contract specifications and the construction schedule is adhered too.
- Developing in-depth understanding of the project scope and developing QA Documentation Package(s) in accordance with the Contract and SOW.
- Providing support to the project manager and superintendents as required.
- Creating and reviewing of reports.
- Knowledge of industry best practice and Australian Standards.
- Quality system ISO 9001 compliance.

Essential – Skills, Qualifications, Attributes and Experience:

- Proven Civil project supervision in similar industry.
- White card.
- Strong leadership qualities to inspire and lead your team effectively.
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills to thrive in our dynamic work environment.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position within Mining & Industrial Infrastructure.
- Must be able to read civil construction drawings and specifications.
- Ability to manage schedules and deadlines.
- Ability to multitask and complete tasks in parallel.
- Highly organised and a robust communicator.
- Excellent data entry skills.
- Ability to analyse information.
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks.




- Ability to understand and follow verbally or written instructions.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent communication with clients, contractors and fellow. Employees.
- Proficient in spelling, punctuation, grammar and other English language skills.
- Proven high quality experience producing correspondence and documents.
- Proficient in using Microsoft office products and comfortable with using clients project software
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with other employees, managers and Client Stakeholders.
- Ability to evaluate and implement appropriate work methods.
- Assess situations and problem solve to find best outcomes for all parties.
- Ability to observe proper safety precautions.

- Current Drivers Licence.
- OHS White Card.
- Previous experience on a mine site is desirable.
