About the Company

A top-tier civil construction company who is known for delivering technically challenging projects. They are looking for a Commercial Manager for an interesting major infrastructure project to start in Auckland.

Main Duties

Your Responsibilities Include

- Developing and implementing commercial strategies to achieve business goals and objectives.
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand the company's revenue streams.
- Setting and monitoring sales targets and revenue goals.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key customers, suppliers, and partners.
- Negotiating contracts with suppliers and customers to ensure profitable deals for the business.
- Analyzing sales and marketing data to identify areas for improvement and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Managing budgets and expenses related to commercial activities.




- Collaborating with other departments to ensure commercial activities align with overall business goals.
- Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to commercial activities.
- Project forecasting and commercial reporting.
- Team management of the whole commercial function of the project

Requirements

- Minimum 10+ years of experience working in the civil construction industry.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team.
- Experience in Quantity Surveying and cost management.
- Knowledge and experience in a variety of contract forms and engagements.
- Ability in fiscal project management - subcontractor management, claims, variations, budgets, progress reporting.
- Ideally, JDE system user.
