The Opportunity:
SPS is now looking to welcome an entry level Construction Materials Tester to their existing quality team and Laboratory based in Ningi, near Bribie Island.
The role will primarily involve sampling and testing sand samples, visiting construction sites, use of on-site testing instruments/machinery, manual handling, and use of computers to calculate and confirm results.
Full training will be provided including a Cert IV for the right candidate
About You:
We are looking for someone that might have recently left school or has been a construction worker/apprentice and looking for something new that is still within the construction industry.
- Looking to establish a career within the construction industry
- Strong digital literacy, numeracy, and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Positive physical fitness - the role entails physical tasks on site
- Valid Qld Driver’s license

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct laboratory and field testing of sand and concrete
- Generate and maintain clear and concise field and laboratory records and reports
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment
- Assist with technical/sales enquiries and requests relating to specific products or blends
- Prepare and distribute specific product samples for customers and external testing
