About the Role
The JHG Rail Power Systems and Electrical team delivers projects for key Rail industry clients across multiple projects. We offer service and solutions for Testing, Compliance, Installation and Commissioning of Rail Traction Substations, overhead and underground High voltage wiring systems.

We are searching for an A Grade Electrician to join our growing Rail Power Systems & Electrical team.



The role involves being part of a team that can deliver traction substations and other electrical infrastructure from concept through to commissioning. The successful candidate will be involved in construction of various projects.

We are seeking a candidate with the following;

- Current Victorian A Grade Licence (Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician)
- Current RIW Card is an advantage
- Have a safety and compliance focus
- Ability to read electrical plans and a good understanding of electrical and wiring diagrams
- High Voltage Cable Jointing is an advantage
- Knowledge of current electrical standards and regulations
- Post apprenticeship trade experience
- Infrastructure experience in Traction Power and/or Industrial Power Systems is an advantage
- SCADA, PLC and/or Control Wiring experience is an advantage
- Data and Comms experience is an advantage
- Ability to work unsupervised and also part of the team
- Ability to work with and mentor apprentices

The following would be beneficial but not critical;
- High Risk Licence for WP
- Confined Space entry and work ticket
- Working at Heights training
- First Aid & LVR

The role will require a reasonable amount of overtime as well as occasional travel within Victoria.
