The role:
We are seeking for a Motivated, Reliable, Experienced Intermediate Rigger to Join our Sydney, Recent South Wales Team.
You will require to have Excellent Problem- Solving Skills. You will be responsible to supervising and directing the equipment’s operators.
Knowledge of the Intermediate rigging industry would be an advantage.
This is a Full Time Permanent Role Reporting to the Site Manager.
The key responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to:
- Inspecting and preparing material to be moved
- Supporting Technicians and fellow riggers to delivery Sites in a safe and timely manner
- Choosing the correct rigging equipment
- Erecting mobile cranes and temporary structures
- Setting up and operating pulleys, ropes, winches and other lifting gear
- Adhering to occupational health and safety procedures
- Communicating with the construction team
- Dismantling the rigging equipment
About You
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
- Grinding and surface preparation.
- Boom Lift licence
- Drive Forklift as licenced.
- Dogging or rigging Licence.
- EWP licence
- Testing and tagging (electrical)
- Warehousing and Inventory control
- First Aid Certification
- Safe Working at Heights certification
- Knowledge of the rigging industry
- Adequate knowledge of system structures and how to troubleshoot systems by utilizing the knowledge of how the system was designed to perform
- Sound knowledge of tools and how they should be used
- Able to read and understand technical drawings and standards
Qualifications and Experience.
- Recognised Certificate/qualification – Certificate III Mechanical Fitting trade certificate or similar
- Hold a Construction safety induction (white card)
- Enter and Work Confined Space and Working at Heights ticket
- Forklift, Dogman/Rigger license is advantageous.
- CPPFES2005A - First Attack Firefighting
Other aspects of this role include:
- Full time position.
- Full medical required for this position.
- Police clearances required for this position.
Clearances required:
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearances.
