Government agency looking for an Estimator to join their team to assist with capital works projects.

Your new company
Our client is a government agency based in Brisbane that provides a multitude of services for building and maintaining government-owned assets, specialising in workforce development and strategic governance. Due to an increase in workload, they are looking to add an Estimator to their team to assist with their various and ongoing capital works projects.

Your new role
As an Estimator, you will accurately plan and develop cost estimates and support the administration of tender documentation for building and maintenance projects for the government. This includes producing tender and quotation documentation for building projects, managing compliance, and assessing and preparing estimates and trades packages. You will work with clients to ensure business and client requirements are being met.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have proven the ability to apply best estimating practises in order to interpret, plan and prepare accurate building estimates. Therefore,



you would ideally come from an estimating, building or project management background, with a relevant discipline in these areas. You will also have knowledge of contemporary estimating methods used in building, construction, and maintenance industries, including associated legislative, regulatory and health and safety requirements. As part of your role will include tender and documentation, you will need a good understanding of Microsoft products in order to prepare documents and reports. A valid driver's licence is also required for this role.

What you'll get in return
You will be offered an immediate start in a 3-month contracted role with a state government agency with the possibility of an extension. You will be offered a full-time temporary position paying an OO6/1 rate + super. You may also have the potential opportunity to work from home.
