PCA Ground Engineering is an innovative company offering design and construct ground engineering services to both private and public sector and we are looking for a Project Manager to join our Southern Region team. We have a strong cultural belief in working safely and protecting the environment whilst priding ourselves in investing in training and supporting our people.
Responsibilities include;
- Be able to link the commercial outcomes of a project with the engineering requirements to ensure our projects are both profitable and meet the required specifications.
- Organise, oversee and direct site labour and the delivery of construction materials, plant and equipment and establish detailed programs for the co-ordination of site activities.
- Monitor changes to the project scope and effectively estimate and negotiate any variations to contractual conditions.
- Contract management and conformance to contractual requirements.
The preferred candidate will also have the following skills and attributes;
- Australian resident and/or current Australian working visa
- Experience with contract management
- Experience in Project Management or the ability to demonstrate an area of construction and contract management where the aforementioned responsibilities have been utilised. Consideration will be given to Project Engineers, Contract Managers or other similar applicants who are seeking to move into a Project Management position.
- Experience in the ground engineering or civil construction industry.
- The ability to travel when needed to ensure the project outcomes are being met.
- Experience in site documentation and reporting.
- The ability to problem solve and provide alternative solutions to clients that offer commercial and technical advantages to a project.
- A strong culture in relation to occupational health and safety
- Experience operating within a 3rd party accredited management system.
An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate in line with their experience. The role will be based in the Southern Region. Most of our Southern Region team live within the Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong area, and these locations are well positioned to service the NSW region. It’s not imperative that the candidate live in this area, but it would advantageous.
