3-month Communications opportunity with a leading organisation of the State Government in Melbourne CBD

Your new company

This State Government department is responsible for supporting Victoria's community health. As a department, they are dedicated to supporting their employees with growth, development and driving high performance. This department is experiencing a period of growth and development, they are seeking experienced advisors to support the team and brand enhancement.

Your new role

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Communications, you will be developing and implementing communications strategies to support the project's promotional material. You will drive the promotional materials for any media and event opportunities that involve the departments project, and ensuring all content is in line with the organisation's values and key messages. Social media management will be another key aspect of this role where you will manage the weekly calendar by creating engaging content and moderate responses. You'll be creating and updating content for the department's website and various other channels.





What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have to following:

- Demonstrated experience developing and executing communications strategies and planning
- Implementing media relations and issues management
- Ability to identify good stories and managing media events
- Developing constructive relationships with high level stakeholders
- Conduct analysis on digital projects to manage performance and outreach
- Prior experience working on a transport or infrastructure project will be highly regarded
