The organisation

Our client is an established, well-respected organisation in Australia.

The position

As the Senior Governance Consultant you will be a subject matter expert and provide professional advice and recommendations across all corporate governance matters to both internal and external clients. You will have superior communication skills with the capability to work with people at all levels, particularly senior executives

This role is a fixed term contract of up to 12 months with an immediate start and offers a competitive full time equivalent salary package. The candidate will preferably be located in Sydney but our client is open to accommodating candidates wanting to work remotely across Australia.

About you

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate:

- Proven success in the design, implementation and/or review of governance frameworks, policies, practices and procedures;
- Expert working knowledge of corporate governance including contemporary issues and best practices,



with the capability to provide governance advice and recommendations to people at the senior executive level;
- Strong writing, analytical and editing skills;
- Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills;
- Excellent time management and organisation skills to enable completion of multiple tasks simultaneously;
- Excellent attention to detail and stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to relate well to people with differing backgrounds and at all levels of seniority (e.g. directors, boards, chairs);
- Experience in supervising or managing staff and willingness to support colleagues and provide constructive feedback;
- Commitment for continuous improvement in systems and processes;
- Advanced computing skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to quickly learn new software if needed; and
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g. economics, law, business).
