The Company

Our client, an established renewable energy firm with its head office in Western Australia, is currently searching for a forward thinking Senior Electrical Engineer to be a key contributor to their long term strategic plan. You would be joining their collaborative team with a diverse and driven culture.

The Role

Support role to the Principal Engineer in delivering technical maintenance, repairs and engineering expertise for the client's operations.

Support role for the design and construction of expansion projects, including construction supervision and management.

- Accountable for the delivery of assigned performance targets aligned with corporate strategic goals, KPIs and targets.
- Accountable for technical support to the Principal Engineer. Demonstrate ability to provide sound technical knowledge and accurate engineering support.
- Utilise Electrical Engineering experience to implement sound technical practices, ensure compliance, manage risk and ensure smooth Wind Farm operations.




- Ensure all activities are conducted in the best interests of the client, with due regard to their risk appetite, compliance with legal and ethical standards, and in accordance with their values.
- Assess asset performance data ensuring alignment with industry best practice and trends.
- Develop and maintain a strong relationship with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Implement business policies, practices and procedures to achieve operational objectives, financial performance targets, and to ensure the safety of stakeholders, contractors and the public.
- Analyse wind farm operations and wind farm components to determine reliability, performance and compliance with specifications.
- Conduct engineering studies and investigations.
- Support and involvement in expansion project FEED design process and delivery of EPC contracts.
- Recommend changes to improve performance and reduce operational costs, or when required to comply with regulations.
- Project manage improvement works including coordination of tenders, work prioritisation and scheduling.
- Prepare budgets, targets, reports and cost forecasts.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications.




- Assist with the expansion project construction supervision.
- Oversee and manage technical design requirements.

What You Need

- Electrical Engineering qualifications and skills.
- A working knowledge of maintenance and operational techniques as applied to Wind Farms or Electricity Generation Assets.
- Experience in construction management is
- Experience in a commercial company with exposure to site operations.
- Experience in working with SCADA and site communication systems.
- Strong problem solving experience.
- Risk management skills.
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
- Time management and organisational skills to ensure deadlines are met and actions are closed out in reasonable time-frames.
- High level of independent strategic initiative and ability to deliver optimal results with minimal oversight.
- Robust MS Office computer skills.
- Advanced Excel skills.
