A Local Council located at Melbourne South East is looking for a Senior PE for a 5 month contract position.

Your new company
A local council in the east has a temporary job for an experienced Senior Project Engineer. Initially, the role will be for around 5 months with the potential to extend.

Your new role
You'll design, implement and deliver civil works projects. You'll:

- Monitor and deliver capital projects on time and within budget in line with organisational requirements
- Prepare briefs, specifications and contract documentation and review consultant deliverables to ensure fit for purpose
- Undertake procurement of consultants and contractors including preparing tender documentation, reviewing and recommending
- Supervise and administer construction contracts to fulfil the role of the superintendent as required
- Deliver the highest standards of quality assurance, safety and risk management.
- Organise and conduct meetings with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to progress projects
- Provide specialist engineering and technical advice to internal and external customers

What you'll need to succeed
As well as having Project Management skills and knowledge, you'll have:

- A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management or a related field




- Experience in construction supervision of civil and/or building projects
- Experience in delivering multiple capital works projects on time and within budget
