Long Contract Opportunity within the Public Sector in the City Projects Office Program.
Your new company
Our client is Public Sector Authority based in Brisbane's CBD. They are looking to engage a Senior Project Manager - Civil and Transport. This role reports to the Project Delivery Managers - Road Infrastructure and Civil Infrastructure.
Your new role
In your new role, you will provide advice and action to ensure a timely and cost effective delivery of civil transport infrastructure projects within the City Projects Office Program. You will also:
- Supervise the planning, design, land acquisition and construction of projects within timeframe and budget
- Report and Recommend advice on time, cost, quality and scope parameters in regards to projects completed by CPO
- Help build and monitor budgets and delivery programs
- Maintain and create relationships, networks and strategic alliances to influence the program with internal and external service providers, stakeholders, government organisations, private sector agencies and more.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will need to have shown experience in planning, design, and construction of major civil transport infrastructure projects in the public sector as well as:
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering and/or professional member of the Institute of Engineers Australia
- High level of consultation, negotiation, networking, advocacy and both oral and written communication skills
- Proven Knowledge of project budgets, timeframes and delivery.
- Experience leading a project team.
- Desirable to be apart of the Australian Institute of Project Managers as a Registered Project Manager or higher or hold a Certificate IV or higher in Project Management

Our client is looking for a person to start ASAP, with a 6-12 month initial contract. Hours are full time (40 hours/week), with 2 WFH days and 3 in the Brisbane Office.
