National commercial fit out builder looking for a Site Manager for a 3- 6 month contract, immediate start.

Your new company

Hays Construction are working in partnership with national commercial construction company. With successful offices across 6 states in Australia, they established a Canberra branch and currently building a fantastic team of highly experienced, reputable Canberra construction professionals. This company work collaboratively, value their employees and encourage inclusivity and ambitious personalities throughout the team. With a solid pipeline of diverse projects upcoming they are seeking a Site Manager to join the team for initially on 3-6 month contract, with possibility for this to extend.

Your new role
With several $1m+ projects about to kick off, they require an experienced Site Manger where you will be responsible for the below daily duties:

- Supervise and coordinate contractors on site;
- Work collaboratively with your project team;
- Manage and deliver program on time;
- Ensure all WHS requirements are being upheld;
- Undertake trade work as necessary;
- Organise the procurement and delivery of materials; and
- Communication with all relevant stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed
To see you succeed in this role the below skills will be highly regarded;





- Varied expertise across commercial fit outs, refurbishments, civil aspects including concrete pours
- Ideally you will be a high performing tradesperson
- Strong leadership/management skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to get the most of your trades
- Ability to problem solve & interpret detailed drawings
- A positive attitude and passion for delivering quality construction projects
