The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of an organisation dedicated to nation-building renewable energy projects that will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
As the Site Manager you will manage contractor performance and facilitate the site management of construction works for transmission line, substation and building projects. Y our proven experience will see you ensure project delivery in compliance with associated contract specifications, Transgrid polices & procedures to meet all stakeholder expectations. In addition, the position is responsible for ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with associated Environmental Management Plans and all organisational and legislative WHS requirements.
About You
- Possession of an appropriate qualification:
- Electrical trade certificate or equivalent; OR
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Project Management or equivalent; OR
- Bachelor ’s Degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Civil), Project Management or equivalent.
- Authorised under Transgrid’s Safety Rules – (perform low voltage and high voltage switching) or be willing to undergo training to obtain
- Experience in construction, testing and commissioning of transmission assets
- Knowledge in the application of WHS and environmental legislation relative to duties of the position
- Knowledge of corporate drawings, design, and management systems
- Sound interpersonal skills (including written and oral communication), which will facilitate the achievement of project objectives
- Knowledge and understanding of all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
- Good computer skills and knowledge of computer packages such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Project, and Ellipse
- NSW Driver’s Licence
- Willingness to assist with implementation of organisational change
- This position may require times of substantial time away from the base location, dependant on the work demands of the organisation
