A great opportunity for a Site Manager to work for a reputable commercial builder in the northern suburbs

The Client

Our client is a well-established, industry leading Commercial builder based in South Melbourne and has been gifted a new project in the Northern suburbs. Due to the recent growth in the construction industry, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Manager.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

- The co-ordination of trades, ordering materials, review and checking tradesman-ship and quality, provision of a safe working environment.
- Co-ordination of contract documentation, drawings, specifications & site instructions to ensure the construction activities conform with contract obligations.
- Liaising with architect, consultants and building surveyor over mandatory inspections, discrepancies, outstanding information and documentation requirements.
- Reporting daily activities, conditions, events, instructions on site and daily completion of Site Diary.
- Co-ordinating the use of common facilities and services on site including deliveries, crane-age, materials handling, storage and site shed facilities; receiving and coding goods with delivery dockets sent through to Head Office Accounts.
- Providing leadership to all subcontractors and employees.



Promote teamwork within the site team.

What you will need to succeed

- Bachelor's or master's degree in Construction Management or a related field
- Strong background in construction, fit-out, refurbishment and new build projects
- Proven experience as a Site Manager
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Flexible, motivated, well-organized, and customer-focused
- Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team, professionalism, and the drive to take on any given task
