Your recent role
Provide specialist engineering services to support the design, delivery, operations, maintenance and refurbishment of electrical and mechanical control systems, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and electronic tolling systems for tunnels and motorways managed by both TfNSW and the private motorway companies. Assist in TfNSW's assurance of the motorway operators' compliance with their project deeds including investigation and resolution of systems performance and reliability issues. The role works in a team environment with stakeholders to achieve organisational goals and to resolve any issues, difficulties and impediments raised.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong experience in delivery of Electrical and Control systems (ITS system preferred) for complex multi-disciplinary projects and preferably road tunnel projects. Experienced in technical and commercial management of projects.
- Sound knowledge of systems engineering processes and application to the design, construction and operation of complex infrastructure.
- High level communication skills with the ability to deal tactfully, effectively and resolve issues with people / other parties at all levels and demonstrated capability to develop flexible and workable solutions to meet customer expectations.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive and collaborative client relationships and ensure the delivery of a consistent, efficient and high-quality service.
- Strong experience in project development and/or implementation management of road, bridge and / or traffic infrastructure construction or maintenance projects, including contract management or project development, environmental planning and assessment processes and community / stakeholder involvement strategies.
- Strong knowledge and experience in the application of Quality Assurance systems and WHS (workplace health and safety), risk and environmental management strategies.
- Strong knowledge of technical domains related to the implementation of control systems like PLC programming, communications network, and cyber-security within Operational Technology (OT) domain.
