We are seeking 1 x full-time Accounts Receivable (AR) Customer Service Officer within the Financial Transactional Services Department. This is a permanent position currently based at Ballarat Business Centre.
About the role
AR Customer Service Officers are responsible for customer service engagements for debt resolution, undertaking accountabilities associated with telephone contacts, customer correspondence and administrative tasks relating to the resolution of consumer (patient) billing for AV service fees, to meet service delivery performance and statutory obligations.
Reporting to the Team Leader AR Customer Service, the main responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):
- Undertake accounts receivable and collections tasks, adhering to defined processes governed by AV procedure and policies, maximising timely debt resolution outcomes to meet service delivery performance and statutory obligations
- Manage high volume inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner,
supported by monitoring of performance dashboards and workload reporting
- Provide a high standard of customer service engagement with the ability to review specific circumstances to identify customer needs and provide appropriate support to resolve outstanding debt
- Maintain accurate records, with attention to detail and quality control, ensuring confidentiality is always maintained
About you
To be successful in this position you will have proven customer service skills with an ability to consistently meet performance call-handling targets and accuracy levels. You will be customer focused and adaptable to different personality types, fostering excellence in all customer engagements. Your attention to detail and quality control will drive high levels of accuracy, supported by a professional and mature attitude with sound judgement skills. You will have a strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently with minimum supervision, while also being a committed team member striving to achieve outstanding customer service while maximising debt resolution outcomes. A certificate in Business/Finance or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
