Rapley's Nursery is looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic
Nursery Sales Assistant
to join our team on a
temporary basis while we cover maternity leave
.
This is a part time position for approximately
4–6 months
, commencing at
3 days per week
, plus
1 day every second weekend (Mon, Tue, Wed and Sun)
, with the potential for additional hours as required and a more permanent position for the right person.

About the Role
Working in our family-owned nursery, you'll be involved in a variety of day-to-day nursery and customer service tasks, including:
• Providing friendly and knowledgeable customer service
• Assisting customers with plant selections and general enquiries
• Watering, weeding, potting and general plant maintenance
• Preparing plants for sale
• Maintaining healthy, tidy plant displays
• Receiving and putting away plant deliveries
• Preparing and putting together customer orders
• Assisting with other tasks around the nursery as required
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
•
Passionate about plants and/or gardening – this is a must
• Available to work the days listed above – this is a must
• Friendly, approachable and confident speaking with customers
• Reliable and willing to get stuck in
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team
• Physically capable of working outdoors and performing manual tasks
• MR licence or higher is desirable, but not essential
