RCR Mining Technologies (RCRMT), a leading business unit within NRW Holdings, is seeking a talented Industrial Painter Blaster to join our team at our Bunbury Workshop on a full-time basis.
As an Industrial Painter Blaster at RCRMT, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the durability and protection of our mining technologies.
You will utilise your excellent painting and blasting skills to provide high-quality and efficient services in industrial surface preparation and coating.
Responsibilities:
Perform surface preparation on steel or hard composition objects, ensuring the removal of all contamination and achieving the specified finish
Apply paint or similar coatings using spraying or brushing techniques
Review painting specifications and comply with the required standards
Blast to profile tolerances and specifications
Take precise measurements when measuring blast profile
Maintain accurate records of painting thickness, including DFTs, paint reports, salt testing, etc., as necessary
Manage inventory of materials, including paints and consumables, and notify the supervisor of any shortages




Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of machines and equipment
Provide guidance and assistance to apprentices and trades assistants
Requirements:
Local residency in the Southwest region
Australian Recognised Trade Certificate in Industrial Painting or Blasting OR Relative experience
Valid Driver's Licence
Work at Heights & Confined Space Tickets
Dogging/Rigging certification (preferred but not essential)
Forklift Ticket (preferred but not essential)
Physical fitness for manual labour and ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening
